Our hands and feet are the most used parts of the body. The hands deal with everything, from greeting people, to holding objects or simply cooking.   • Stay away from hand lotions or hand moisturizers as they can make the sweat glands release more sweat and leave a greasy film on clammy palms. You should also avoid petroleum jelly application over the hands.


  • Avoid wearing gloves, except in the winters. Your hands need to breathe and sweat due to heat entrapment.


  • Do not eat foods that cause sweating. Such foods include spices, onions, coffee, tea, alcohol and tobacco smoking.


  • Stop taking stress as stress increases the flow of sweat excretion.


  • Do not put your hands in your pockets for too long as that can build up sweat on the palms.


  • When the sweating starts, cool of your hands in front of an air conditioner or a fan.
