How to Get Rid of a Double Chin


Age and genetics can lead to certain havoc on the skin at times, such as double chins. A double chin is a sag of a sheet of fat around the neck. You can try hiding it with a high-neck shirt, a scarf wrapped around the neck, or push your head up front when being photographed, but your double chin is still glued to you as an added accessory. Although surgical procedures exist to get rid of a double chin for good, you will spend a lot of money on this procedure. Try these simple home treatments to eliminate the double chin and form a structured jaw line.


Chew on Sugar-Free Gum

Many know about this trick: chew gum to get rid of the double chin. This actually works because the facial muscles tend to get toned with the constant jaw workout. Therefore, purchase a pack of sugarless gum and much your way on it.






Rub on Cocoa Butter

Warm some cocoa butter in a microwave and massage it onto the double chin for a few minutes. Do this twice a day to see effective results.





Massage with Wheat Germ Oil

With vitamin E oil as its main element, wheat germ oil aids in nourishing the skin and tightening it. Before going to bed at night, rub some wheat germ oil around the chin and massage upwards, starting from the bottom of the neck, working up till the chin. Double chins form mainly due to weight gain. If you are overweight, it’s time to shed off some pounds to get rid of that double chin, and look good overall as well. Cut back on the carbs, like rice, white bread, and pasta, and start consuming more brown bread, brown rice, or whole meal instead. Stay away from processed food and junk foods, and abstain from sodas and smoking. Add physical exercise to your routines to shed off some pounds.
