Wooden furniture items, like chairs or tables, tend to get wobbly and unstable overtime. A loose leg usually causes this and it is quite simple to fix your problem without the need of much carpenter skills.
Here is a way to repair your wobble wooden table. You can follow the came pattern for a wooden chair if it is unstable.
Things you will need
- Screwdriver
- Drill
- Wood glue
- Sandpaper
- Wrench
- Drill bits
Instructions
- Identify which part of the table is loose and causing the instability. Put the table upside down and check the legs. You may find broken joints or loosened screws that need tightening.
- With the wrench, tighten all the nuts and replace any lost bolts if needed. You can replace loose bolts from the base with large sized bolts. You can use glue to hold the bolts in place as well.
- If the glue in the leg joints has become old, remove the leg and sand the joint. Then apply fresh wood glue and replace the leg. Let the glue dry.
