Coconut oil and olive oil can do wonders on dry skin. Apply a fair amount over the skin every night to keep the skin soft. The oils are absorbed slowly, and sucks in the very last drop of moisture at night. You can also try rubbing almond oil over dry skin a swell to moisturize it.





Skin is hydrated with glycerin as it lets the skin absorb moisture and retain it. Glycerin can be bought from every drug store. You can also mix rose water in it and apply it over night on the face to make the skin soft and glowing.

Milk has been used for skin refinement by Cleopatra, who would bathe in milk. The anti-inflammatory properties of milk removes the dead skin cells from the face. Simply dab some of it on a cotton ball and apply it to the face. Wash off after 20 minutes with lukewarm water.

Combine and eggs yolk with some drops of olive oil and make a mask this way for the face. The vitamin A in the egg yolk, and the vitamin E and K in the olive oil works on dried out skin and cures flaky skin. Apply it and leave on for 15 minutes before washing it off.





Honey and Avocado Mask

Mixing honey with mashed avocado can create a hydrating mask. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water.







Drink Water

Water is a cure for everything, and so it is essential to drink 8-10 glasses a day, even in the winters Keep yourself hydrated and drink a glass of water or juices. Avoid alcohol and coffee, as both can replenish the body from hydration.





Diet Intake

For dry skin, eating omega-3 essential fatty acids is important. Eat more walnuts, almonds, flax seeds, and salmon and sardines. Consume yogurt, citrus fruits and red vegetable for preserving moisture in the skin.







Keep a humidifier on in your room. The dry air can aggregate the dry skin and make it itchy. Humidifiers  moisten the air, so keep it on in your room.
