The most common issue with a computer mouse device is its delayed reaction time and inability of the cursor to move and point at the required direction. These navigation problems can further increase if not taken care of initially. You can use the Device Manager Utility for troubleshooting of the problem.

Step 1

If your mouse gets attached to the computer with a USB then click the “Start” button and “Run.”  Otherwise, totally skip this step.

Step 2

Type in sysdm.cpl. Click OK.

Step 3

Click on “Hardware.” Select the “Device Manager.”

Step 4

Now click and select “Mice and other pointing devices.”

Step 5

Right click and select Properties.

Step 6

Now select “General” and click on “Troubleshoot.” You will get some recommended solutions to your issue. Follow the instructions. However, if your mouse is a USB device, skip this step and move on to the net one.

Step 7

You have to install Microsoft Fix-it USB Troubleshooting Tool and follow the instructions for fixing your mouse.
